We’re so proud of the sustainability features of this recent commercial project. This building in Murrieta, CA broke ground in November 2022 and we just completed it this Spring. So much collaboration, teamwork, attention to detail, and hard work from our team, our crew, and subcontractors. The entire Youngren team considers it an honor to support veterans who have selflessly served this country. Homes For Our Troops (HFOT) is a publicly funded 501(c) (3) nonprofit organization that builds and donates specially adapted custom homes nationwide for severely injured post-9/11 Veterans, to enable them to rebuild their lives. Most of these Veterans have sustained life-altering injuries including multiple amputations, partial or full paralysis, or severe traumatic brain injury (TBI). These homes restore some of the freedom and independence our Veterans sacrificed defending ours, and enable them to focus on their family, recovery, and rebuilding their lives. Each of these specially adapted custom homes is equipped with over 40 major special adaptations and exceeds ADA standards, providing full accessibility for the Veteran. These adaptations include wider halls and doorways, automatic door openers, roll under sinks, stove tops, and counters, pull down shelving, generators and safe rooms, all designed to help the Veteran live independently. Since its inception in 2004, nearly 90 percent of donations to Homes For Our Troops has gone to directly support Veterans. Homes For Our Troops builds these homes where the Veteran chooses to live, and continues its relationship with the Veterans after home delivery to assist them with rebuilding their lives. We're kicking off a new commercial ground-up development! Youngren Construction has been contracted to develop a new office building and warehouse for a trucking logistics company who are looking to expand their business. This project consists of a 6,000-square-foot, 2-story office building, and a detached 7,000-square-foot warehouse. As part of this new development, we will install new landscape, sidewalks, and all other required site work. We do not always complete the plan development and pre-construction process with our clients, and this is a project where we are (working with the client’s architect, structural engineer, civil engineer who brought them through the plan development and permitting process). Throughout the construction process we work hand in hand with them to build the project from start to finish and bring what’s on paper, into real life! After months of communication with our clients, a detailed bid process, talking with the city, and negotiations, we are excited to finally break ground on this project. A beautiful bathroom can really elevate your home. Our clients needed a full bathroom remodel in their home so they could comfortably age in place. Youngren Construction’s team drafted and designed this en suite master bathroom. Working closely with the clients, we remodeled the bathroom in just 12 weeks! Among the many safety features that included easy-moving cabinet pulls and faucet handles, grab bars were installed in the gorgeous new shower and even incorporated into the toilet roll holder. Substructures were built in the spacious, floor-level shower with an eye toward future grab bars. After removal of the tub, existing cabinetry was preserved, extended, and painted in colors selected by the client with help from Jennifer Youngren. Now our clients can safely enjoy their beautiful new bathroom for many years to come. The style and design perfectly complements the elegant yet immensely livable style of their residence, which celebrates their love of Native American art discovered on their travels. Our clients’ Solana Beach house was in need of a full remodel. . . With leaky pipes, outdated appliances and fixtures, limited storage, and an ineffective layout, it was time to bring their home up to date. The Youngren Construction team designed the entire home, and the clients were able to pick out new appliances, counters, cabinets, faucets, lighting, and so much more. The kitchen turned out very special, with a kitchen island and barstool seating, beautiful pendant lights, custom cabinets, and granite countertops. Our favorite part is the wine fridge build right into the kitchen island. Now our clients can fully enjoy their beautiful new kitchen, whether they are cooking for a large party or just a weeknight meal for two.
